About the School (CHSS):
Canada Hainan Secondary School is an official, off-shore B.C. (Canadian) high school. We offer our Chinese students the B.C. Graduation Program, which consists of grades 10, 11 & 12. Our students receive the same curriculum as the students in B.C. Canada. The courses are taught by Canadian teachers, certified in B.C. The teaching methods, processes of student evaluation and all standards of education are also the same. In fact, CHSS must be inspected every year by a high official of the B.C. Ministry of Education to ensure that all of the requirements are being met.
At the end of the graduation program, successful graduates of CHSS will receive the same high school certificate that all B.C. students receive, called the Dogwood Certificate. With this Canadian high school graduation certificate, students have a good chance of being accepted into a overseas college or university, dependent upon their grades and level of English.
